Carpe Diem

I am finally getting the chance to sit down and blog again and I love it. Blogging is great because it allows me the chance to decompress, reassess, and ponder. All good things. So, as I sit here, I contemplate life and allow myself to enjoy all things fall. It is absolutely my favorite season. I love everything about it, the trees, especially those, the smell of new school supplies (I always buy new pens), the chance to reorganize your schedule and whip yourself back into shape if, like me, you’ve let yourself get a little lazy in life, and last, but not least, senior pictures.

There is something about seniors that bring a bit of excitement for the future. I always enjoy talking with them about what they have planned for the summer, where they are going to school, what they will be studying, who they want to be when they grow up. I have incredibly fond memories of college and I am always excited when someone gets the chance to have a similar experience as I did. Now, everyone may not have that experience, but there’s always hope when looking to the future and that’s what seniors are all about, right? I love their hope, it reminds me to take a stab at it every once in a while. And you know what? It usually pays off. So, here’s to seniors and hope for the future.
