Whew! Isn’t it good to know that not all hope is lost? That there is still joy to be found right now? I’m sure glad for that. I’m really grateful to know that there’s still lots of love in the world to be had and I’m so excited to be a part of it and celebrate it.
So, when Nicole, Brandon, her parents and I all met out on her parent’s back porch to chat about what the wedding would look like now, I was so glad to get back in the swing of things and to help them to be able to celebrate. Because love is still the point. It wasn’t going to be anything like what we had originally planned, but it was still going to be beautiful.
And, you know what? A few weeks later it still was. Even though it rained that day and we had to have the wedding on the back porch with tents instead of in the back yard with the arch as we had planned. It was still beautiful, full of love and tears and everything you ever really wanted, expected and hoped from your wedding. There are still plans to have a big party next year and hopefully all of this will be behind us.
So, if you’re wondering if it’s possible to have a wedding in the midst of all this, YES! it’s still possible. I can easily socially distance while I’m shooting and I wear a mask and can make sure that you and your guests are protected. I’m trying to be careful myself so that I can make sure that I’m still there for you even if the world is still turned upside down. It can still be beautiful and you can still celebrate love and all that love is even in the midst of COVID.
